Anglican Faith & Formation, on a Global Scale.
our mission
We believe the Christian Faith has been “once and for all delivered to the saints.” It was created by Christ, handed down by the Apostles, taught by the Fathers, and defended by the Councils. Our mission is to hold sacred the faith we have received and pass it on to the next generation of Anglican leaders and clergy through theological and spiritual formation.
our model
Founded on the conviction that theological principles are more than mental concepts, they are incarnational truths that must be lived out together, Saint Aidan's programs incorporate the ancient Christian understanding that knowledge about God, his church and his kingdom is best comprehended within a community that worships, prays, and practices their learning together. Therefore, all of Saint Aidan’s House programs are taught in the context of a worshiping, learning community.
When possible, our study programs operate through a cohort model that begins with a residency intensive period of 10 days followed by distance learning. After each cohort experiences the residency intensive time together, they continue their studies through distance learning as a group, processing what they are learning under the shepherding care of an academic and spiritual mentor.
The Lay-Institute programs are taught in the context of short term worshiping communities that learn together over a weekend or a week-long retreat format.
